We want it to be easy for you to come to church. We want you to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you into the family of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns. Here’s a quick look at some frequently asked questions that will hopefully give you a better idea of what to expect when you come visit us at Lighthouse. And if you don’t see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages, then please feel free to contact us at the church office by calling 706-265-9868. Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to Lighthouse.

Where do I go?
Greeters are located at each entrance to the building and are available to direct you to the auditorium for worship, to a classroom for Sunday School or to any specific ministry meeting area. In the main lobby there is a welcome desk where friendly greeters will be glad to assist you. In the center of the Invision Magazine that is given to each guest you will also find a site map with a dierctory for our entire facility.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code to attend our public services. Many of our members like to wear their “Sunday best” because they have come to worship their Creator, but we’ll be glad for you to wear what is comfortable to you. We’re going to notice that you’ve come to join us in worshipping Jesus, not what you happen to be wearing.
What do I need to bring?
Since we are seeking to share with you dynamic Biblical truths, a Bible will help you follow along in both the Life Groups and the Worship service. You will find it easy to follow along because all of our teachers and preachers will consistently use the King James version of the Bible. If you don’t have a Bible, or you happen to forget yours at home, one of our friendly members will be happy to share their Bible with you!
When do I need to arrive?
Sunday morning services begin promptly at 11am. Sunday School and Life Group classes meet at 9:45am. You might want to plan to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Auditorium/Sunday School class.
Is the church handicap accessible?
Yes. There is reserved parking directly in front of the auditorium. There is reserved senior and handicap parking in the rear of the building with same-level access as the auditorium, which is located on our lower level.
Where do my children go?
Just inside the entrance are greeters stationed throughout the morning to help your child get to their classroom. There are well staffed children’s classes and nurseries for both the Sunday School and worship service times. If you prefer to keep your children with you, feel free to do so.
How are visitors recognized?
The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot. We ask visitors to fill out a Guest Information Card and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit. We’ll never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way. We want you to have a wonderful experience at Lighthouse and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.
