Easter at Lighthouse!

We are excited to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter Sunday. Easter is always an exciting time at LIighthouse, and this year is no different. We hope you will choose to join us this Sunday!

We know that getting the whole family ready for church on Easter Sunday is a hassle! Everyone needs to look good for the Easter photos. We want to take one thing off your plate Easter morning, so at t 10 AM we will be hosting our annual Easter breakfast, and we invite you to join us and have breakfast for the family for free. We are serving biscuits and gravy, bacon, scrambled eggs, and fruit along with coffee, juice, and water to drink.

Our services will begin at 11 AM. Our teens and adults will meet in the main auditorium for a time of worship and praise, and for the Word of God to be brought to us from Pastor Charles Blackstock. This will be a time for us to remember what our Lord has done for us, the price He paid, and the victory He brought when He rose up out of the grave. We hope you will join us as we remember and celebrate our risen Savior!

Also at 11 AM, our kids will have their service in KidZone and Dawson Junction. They will have music and games, of course, but most important is the lesson time where they will learn the story of Easter, what happened, why it happened, and why the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ matter for them today. They will learn that Christ died on a cross for their sins, but that He rose again on the third day, and that by believing on Him they can have a home in heaven.

Following the main service at approximately 12:30 PM, our kids’ Easter Activities will begin, and all our parents are invited to come and join us! Our kids ages 4-6 will have a classic Easter Egg hunt, with a special prize for those who find the golden eggs! At the same time, our older 7-12-year-olds will participate in our first-ever Race to the Resurrection! “What is the Race to the Resurrection?” we hear you asking. Great question! Our kids will compete in teams to complete 7 challenges themed around the life of Jesus from the Last Supper to the Resurrection. These are simple challenges that involve charades, riddles, puzzles, and more. Each team will receive candy every time they complete a challenge, and a reward for completing all seven. But the first that finishes all 7 challenges will receive the grand prize! It will be an exciting event, and your kids won’t want to miss out.

As you can see, Easter Sunday will be a day at Lighthouse. We believe God is going to do great things this Sunday. We hope you will join us at Lighthouse this Easter and come experience the power of Christ
