Welcome to Teen Connect, a ministry of Lighthouse Baptist Church! At LBC, we want to help our students to do three things. First, we want you to connect with God. Our greatest desire is to see you accept Christ and develop a personal relationship with Him. Second, we desire to see you connect with a church family. We believe that for young people to grow closer to God, they must be in a place that is conducive to both learning and serving. Last, we believe that you need to connect with Godly friends. All people need to develop Godly relationships that will strengthen, encourage, and protect us as we walk through this life. Come be a part of Teen Connect at Lighthouse!

Teen Connect Leaders:
Jamie Reynolds, Youth Pastor
Jamie grew up in a Christian home in Greenwood, South Carolina. He surrendered to preach at a teen camp in 2006. Jamie graduated from East Side Christian School in 2008 and Crown College in 2012. Jamie and his wife Kristin have been married since 2013 and have one daughter named Mya, born in 2021. Jamie has worked as the youth pastor at LBC since 2015 and also serves as the basketball coach for Lighthouse Christian Academy. In his spare time, he’s chasing his toddler, playing and watching sports, reading a good book, or playing video games.
Kristin Reynolds
Kristin was born and raised in Forsyth County and has been attending LBC since 2001. After graduating from Crown College in 2014 with a degree in English education, she and Jamie moved back to her hometown to begin working at Lighthouse. Currently, she teaches English and Journalism at LCA, works alongside Jamie with the youth at LBC, and spends every spare moment with her daughter Mya. If you spot her out in the wild, she’ll probably be reading a book and sipping on a good cup of coffee.
Teen Camps:
Each summer our teens have the opportunity to attend Teen Extreme Camp. Teen Extreme is a ministry of Pensacola Christian College located in Pensacola, Florida. From the Biblical preaching to the Christian friends, each year, our teens have seen God do amazing things in their lives.
VBS:
One week of every summer is devoted to Vacation Bible School. The week would not be possible without the tremendous help we receive from our youth group. From classes to clean-up, from acting to media, our teens are involved in every capacity. We also have a teen class dedicated to those who are not actively volunteering in an area of VBS.
Teens in the Ministry
KidZone
Many teens in our church serve in our children’s church program. These teens workers help lead singing, activities, and many other things while working with the leaders to help see God work in the lives of our kids.
Media
At Lighthouse, many of our teenagers serve in the Media Ministry. They love to help and learn about technology as a part of our media team. On Sundays, you can see them operating cameras, mixing sound, running lights, and more. We are proud to have our youth serving in media.
Music
God has used many of our teens to serve in the music ministry of our church. Our teens has been such a blessing while singing and playing in our services as we worship God together.
Hell’s Gates
Hell’s Gates is an amazing opportunity here at LBC. Each year this outdoor drama has the potential to see thousands of people come through and hear the Gospel. Our teens have a very special place in this program and help us fill very important positions.
